The owner of Forty Deuce, a restaurant and speakeasy located new york pizza easton Center, has recently opened a pizzeria in the same venue. Ivan Kane, the restaurateur from Los Angeles, decided to pivot to pizza and thus Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce New York Pizzeria & Bar was born.
The new eatery and club is located at 3459 Brighton Rose Square and was recently redesigned to embrace a classic New York-style pizzeria. The soft opening of the pizza restaurant took place on Thursday.
According to Kane, the concept of redesigning the pizzeria emerged during the pandemic, a few months after the establishment was opened in January 2020.
While Forty Deuce was initially influenced by Ivan Kane’s Hollywood and Las Vegas ventures, the pizzeria’s current concept takes Kane back to his roots and upbringing.
The activity that was ingrained in my DNA since childhood, all the way up to my marriage, was to grab a slice of pizza,” Kane said.
I spent my childhood in New York and my family still resides in the same apartment. New York is an integral part of my identity. The concept that I am referring to is 40 Deuce, which was a slang term used to refer to 42nd Street.
The new Forty Deuce restaurant will serve authentic New York-style pizzas such as cheese, calzone near me, meat lovers, Hawaiian, buffalo chicken, Margherita, and white pizza, as well as allow the customers to customize their pizzas. The menu also includes appetizers, salads, and genuine New York-style cheesecake.
The updated space also incorporates a bar and provides a set for DJs to play music for dancing during the week.
Upstairs the existing speakeasy, known for its memorable burlesque shows, is expanding with the addition of several events including movie nights and game day events on the speakeasy’s new supersized, 4K LED video wall with surround sound. The space will also begin hosting “rockstar” karaoke, where guests will be backed by a live rock band, and ladies’ night with a live Magic Mike show.

Kane said moving from a cafe with a diner feel to a pizzeria and bar feels more in line with its corner of Easton, which also features Pins Mechanical, Beeline, and Forbidden Root. The bar has also adjusted its hours to open later. Forty Deuce previously opened at noon but will now open at 4 p.m.
“I felt like it was just the right thing for the corridor. It was the right thing for who I am. And to be honest with you, I felt like it was the right thing for the demographic,” he said.
